Leading Route Cars – is there a future?

For 2 hours today, Leading Route Cars was closed.  Not for reasons of a technical fault or staffing shortages, but very much planned and deliberate.

Why?  Because the business isn’t doing so well.   It has been running self-sufficiently for the past seven months now since I went back to work…..[this post was in draft mode from 11/05/2012 and completed from this point almost a year later].

Initial notice was given to my call centre in India to stop operations however at the eleventh hour, I decided I needed to really delve into the issues the business was having and make a real go of resolving these.

Leading Route Cars (LRC) really had one major issue back in May 2012:  the staff at the call centre got too complacent in their roles.  Any new ways of working that I tried to implement didn’t get adopted properly so I made the decision to change call centres.  Having existing business relationships in the Philippines already that have been built up over the past 6-9 months, I leveraged these to see if there was an opportunity to transfer operations to there instead.

To be continued……to catch up to the present.
